Is it the gasket or the hardware? The signs
- The door drags on the floor or the frame as it swings.
- It stays wherever you leave it instead of pulling itself closed.

Frequently asked questions
Why will my walk-in door not close by itself?
Usually worn cam-lift hinges or a failed door closer. Cam-lift hinges use the door’s own weight to swing it shut; when they flatten out, the door stalls half-open and the cooler bleeds cold air until someone notices. Both are straightforward repairs.
Can a new gasket fix a sagging door?
No. A sagging door presses the gasket hard on one edge and leaves a gap on the other, so the new seal wears out fast and keeps leaking. Rehang the door first, then seal it. We do both in one visit.
Do you replace just a door sweep?
Yes. Sweeps are a common standalone job, and stopping the threshold leak is often the single biggest improvement for an iced-up doorway.
My cooler door pops open when I shut the other one. What is that?
Air pressure plus weak latching. When one door closes it pushes air through the cabinet, and a door with a tired latch or worn gasket gives way. Fixing latch tension and seals stops it.
